If you are a Mac or iOS user, all your photos are stored in an iPhoto Library. If you want to move or migrate iPhoto Library to Google Photos, then first download and install 'Google Photos Backup' desktop application on your Mac. Once you have installed 'Google Photos Backup', it will check the iPhoto Library option by default. Updating the 'date taken' field of a photo in the test Apple Photos Library would cause anywhere from 9 to 16 of these random files to be 'synced' to Google Photos cloud, but strangely the updated photo itself would NOT be re-synced, so the version of the photo in the Google Photos cloud library remained frozen in time with the wrong date.

Install the App

Command+Spaceand type Terminal and press enter/return key. - Run in Terminal app:

and press enter/return key.
If the screen prompts you to enter a password, please enter your Mac's user password to continue. When you type the password, it won't be displayed on screen, but the system would accept it. So just type your password and press ENTER/RETURN key. Then wait for the command to finish. - Run:
brew install freetype

Jan 20, 2012 You've specified where to find the include files, that's good and is why you can compile. But you haven't told gcc to actually link to the freetype2 library. You'll need a -L option and -l (lowercase) option to successfully link. The -L option tells gcc where to find libraries. The -l option specifies a library to actually link against.

Note: Prerequisites for compiling the library is FreeType version 2.4.5 or newer and HarfBuzz version 1.3.0 or newer; see FreeType's download page and HarfBuzz's download page for more information. Compile ttfautohint for Mac OS X, including the GUI. The side-effect is that glyphs ‘thin out’. Mac OS X and Adobe's proprietary font rendering library implement a counter-measure: stem darkening at smaller sizes where shades of gray dominate. By emboldening a glyph slightly in relation to its pixel size, individual pixels get higher coverage of filled-in outlines and are therefore ‘blacker’. FreeType 2 is a software font engine that is designed to be small, efficient, highly customizable, and portable while capable of producing high-quality output (glyph images). It can be used in graphics libraries, display servers, font conversion tools, text image generation tools, and many other products as well.

| What I don't get is why between lines 99 & 103 it seems to be looking for freetype and freetype2, I thought freetype2 replaced freetype. |
